[lug] merging images

Thanks for the responses.  A colleague was working on this also and
managed to produce an mpeg of a sequence of merged images.  He used
netpbm to do the merging and mpeg_encode to make the mpeg.

Naturally I wanted to install netpbm on my Red Hat 6.2 machine.  I found
a source rpm in the Red Hat V7.1 directory at the Red Hat site.  Can I
use this to install netpbm on my 6.2 machine?  I ran <rpm --rebuild
netpbm-9.9-5.src.rpm> and it created .i386.rpm files without any errors.
Can I expect them to install OK?
