[lug] Disk Quotas

Hey all!

I am running RH 7 with kernel 2.4.5 and I would like to be able to set
disk quotas for my users. I currently have a partition for /, and /boot. I
would like to set quotas on my home directory, so users like /home/greg
would be limited and webusers like /home/webs/gregweb would also be limited.
I have done some looking around on the net but nobody tells me how to do
this.
My main problem is this: Do I have to turn my /home directory into
another partition or is there an easier way? Also, in userconf when I edit
a user it has a soft and hard limit. When I choose custom ie. 50000 (from
the example) for the user does that mean 50 megabytes or kilobytes?
So to sum it up. How do I convert my /home directory (which is part of
the / partition) into a directory with quota support?

Thanks,
Greg Horne
