[lug] Essential Debian, Was: Linux on older hardware

I picked up my copy from www.cheapbytes.com.

However, this was a couple of years ago and there is
no mention of Essential Debian on Cheapbyte's website.

I could probably burn a few copies if anyone wants one.

I've used the Debian CD as a rescue disk a few times, plus
it's handy for partitioning hard drives, etc.

My "grand project" with Eseential Debian was to build a
bootable LS-120 diskette with Debian, Apache, etc. It all fit
with lots of room to spare, but man! Talk about a slooooow
bootup! Even a "super floppy" transfers data with small spoon! :-)

Where did you get this copy of Essential Debian? I have heard mention of
something similar once, but I was not able to find it. A quick Google
search didn't much help ( lots of stuff about build essential). I have been
interested in this for a bit.

Is it a current Debian? An old Debian? I have actually been mulling over
making my own. That, and using 'debootstrap.'
