FWIW the Eeye security group that first brought Code Red to light has 
stated that something on the order of 900000 to 1 million infections of the 
worm have been recorded. They think that several hundred thousand of those 
infections have been nixed thanks to the patch. Getting rid of the original 
Code Red is as simple as rebooting the server. If you haven't installed the 
patch though your computer will be re-infected quite easily. Getting rid of 
Code Red II seems to be a tougher matter.
