I have a couple of 36 gig drives, one is mainly XFS filesystem
(journaling), the other ext2. They aren't completely one partition, but
a huge proportion is used as root filesystem. The XFS one will repair in
less than one second. The ext2 takes "a while".

Try Dia. It has both Linux and Win versions. I believe they are working
on visio export/import, I don't know what state it is in...possibly it
is available only on a cvs snapshot.

Dia. Install a copy on both Linux and Win.
