[lug] on a Sparc 5?

While I haven't installed a Sparc 5 personally I have read many threads in
newsgroups that report success. I have installed RH 5.x on my Sparc Classic but
haven't' tried any of the newer RH distros.
RH decided to quit supporting Sparc so I would also consider another distro.
You could give SuSE a try, they support Sparc, (incl. Sparc64), PowerPC,
Intel... Or you can try Debian, which has the best hardware support of all -
but it won't offer commercial support.
Here are some links that may help:
List of supported hardware for SuSE Linux (should be identical to RH):
http://www.suse.de/en/produkte/susesoft/sparc/supported_platforms.html
Mailing list archives: http://www.suse.de/de/support/mailinglists/index.html
There seem to be less than a handful of Sparc users on this list so I would
encourage you to search the google groups for an answer.
Hope this helps,
Ferdinand
