	Take a look at the archives on the web page - this has been
discussed (fairly recently) and with a bit of help from D Stimits (that
sounds so damn impersonal :) I got mine up and running first time out.
It was dead easy.

	Pretending the IP you got from @home is static might work for a
long time. I still have the first one assigned to me and I've had it
almost a year now with no special effort on my part to do any lease
renewal stuff or anything bizzare like that.

	I also switched from the USB interface to a NIC with no
problems. The experience I had during installation leads me to believe
that the IP is tied to the MAC address (?) of the cable modem and not to
anything on your PC.

(I'll admit that I'm not a tech expert on this network stuff, so if my
use of the term "MAC address" above is correct it was purely an educated
guess :)
