[lug] problem using ftp and wget

Wish I had. In reality, sftp is itself just a shell to ssh, so you're
limited by the remote end's capabilities, rather than ftp capabilities
(it would have been nice if they'd used sftp as an ssh tunnel for real
ftp, but then authentication would have been less secure).
