On my Toshiba 1605 CDS, it's F2 to get into the bios. You could have 
interupted a 'save to disk' or someother such function.
Toshiba has a great web site, although it is kinda hard to navigate. But, 
goto www.toshiba.com, click on Products and services->computer systems, 
portables->up at the top clickon Support->Sevice Center (support- on the 
right)->Tech Support Center->select Portables->Satellite->205CDS it will 
display downloads and info for that laptop. The whole site a weird javascript 
with cookies the whole way, so I can't give you a link that will work for 
you. :(
There's a users guide, which is in a windows exe file.. so....

I'm sure there's a bios battery somewhere in there.
