Hello,

  I'm trying to make RHs start-up messages less imposing.  I see 
that /etc/init.d/functions contains the actual printing statements
and that some variables are defined in /etc/sysconfig/init.  Some
of these variables are in the form of ANSI terminal codes; ie. stuff
like, MOVE_TO_COL="echo -en \\033[${RES_COL}G".  Is there a reference
for such codes about somewhere?  I'm not even sure what keywords to
give google for this.
