[lug] RPMs from source?

Ok, here's another wierd problem from my recent KRUD install. I don't appear 
to have rpm installed on my machine! So, I've got bunches of RPMs but I guess 
I need a tarball to bootstrap it. Or have I missed something? Just copying 
/bin/rpm from another machine doesn't seem to do the trick. I have bunches of 
stuff installed from rpms, but apparently not rpm itself.
