I always vote for online shopping these days (www.mwave.com) has become my
favorite. I used to shop around but they were always in the cheapest
category and they've never done me wrong... Even with DOAs... However... In
those moments that you really want to go locally... Is PC Brokers still
around? They were on Pearl near Old C's and in emergency moments they've
done me pretty well. They were full of Linux heads... One of which used to
belong to this list...

Subject: [lug] Best places to buy hardware for linux?
Can anyone tell me some places in Boulder to buy linux-compatible hardware
(i.e., something that has been tested, the people there know it works with
particular versions/distros)...
When I buy hardware, I'm generally looking for stuff that I can plug in, it
works, I don't have to think about it. Getting tired of the endless
buy/return cycle at Compusa. I know about PCBrokers but they are never open
when I can get to them, or I would give them more business. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Chris
