[lug] purify and friends for Linux

So what do people use for memory problems on Linux.
It doesn't appear that purify exists for Linux (I figure it isn't free
software anyway).

I am looking into electric fence.

Any other suggestions?

Also, what about C++.  Do these tools work if you use new/delete?  I believe
that malloc/free is called underneath these calls.  Just wondering if anyone
has any experience doing this.
