Hi all:

I have a via 82c686 sound chip with the AC '97 CODEC.  When my machine
boots, I notice this message on loading the sound modules:

via82cxxx: Codec rate locked at 48Khz

Does anybody know how to 'unlock' the chip so I can properly listen to
44.1 and other sampling rates?  I have some apps that would like to not
be locked into the 48k.  Thanks.
