If you're running dhcpcd, try "cat /etc/dhcpcd/dhcpcd-ethX.info", where ethX is your outward facing NIC.

Here's Mom's (minus incriminating evidence):

The lease time is one hour!

OTOH, the IP address has been constant since Tuesday night.

Still, it seems to be a VERY good thing that we're moving to static-IP DSL ASAP.
