T. J. Duchene, in an editorial Sunday on Freshmeat, brought out some
interesting points about Borland's new license policy for Kylix and
JBuilder.
There appears to be some serious warping of the GPL regarding
distribution of products written with either program.
There appears also a provision, if you download them and agree to the
EULA, that you agree to Borland entering your premise to do a audit of
your computers to insure that you are not abusing the license, and to
waive a jury trial if you get caught.
The article is here

and the EULA is here

So much for using Borland products anymore.
So much for blithly clicking "Accept" to EULA's.
And no wonder so many people choose to lie about the personal
information that they list when downloading software. The nice thing
about a computer is that it accepts without question answers like
"Hillary Bush-Gates, 1601 White House Road, New York, TX 11111, phone
911/666-6666".
Not, of course, that I, a paragon of virture, would ever do anything
remotely like this --- or advocate that anyone else do it.
