That's pretty much my experience too. I found the whole concept (diskless desktop
box with a low power chip) pretty cool so i tied to get a company interested in it.
Well, rebels reaction to the first contact was pretty much: you have to buy a box
if you want to look at it and shipping to Europe will be about the same price as 
the box itself ... And they insisted that their box targeted the server market!
Since the company i contaced mainly sells PC-based servers (for a lower price) that
pretty much ended the deal. Now they sell inteloid diskless workstation (Niagara-based,
if i recall right) [and i use a JavaStation running Linux].
