It seems like someone asked about home audio MP3 players here a couple of 
months ago.  It got me thinking about a simple, flexable player instead of 
the existing ones that have a certain set of features that don't seem to 
satisfy anyone.

I finally fleshed out the idea a bit and posted it to slashdot (at 
http://slashdot.org/comments.pl?sid=28953&cid=3114224)

If you are interested in this sort of thing you might take a look.  
Especially if you are an EE, 'cause I can't build the thing.
