http://www.nycwireless.net/poe/ covers it nicely.  I was able to build
several in an hour or two.  I did it mostly for fun.  It makes me feel
like a real hardware jockey.  :-) I bought the 3Com access point
awhile back and it came with one.  Most manufacturers seem to offer
this option.
