Also note that this is really talking about non-Free or minimally non-GPL 
compatible code.  If we are talking about Free Software with a GPL-compatible 
license see http://www.fsf.org/licenses/gpl-faq.html#WhatIsCompatible
And nothing you do can change the license of someone else's code.  If you 
cause a GPL violation in this way it is on you, it doesn't become incumbent 
on the author of the original work to re-license just because you created a 
violation with his code.
