Thanks Dan, Peter, and Warren for the responses.

Since my earlier post, I've had galeon and xfs freak out twice more
while viewing google pages.  The problem is some sort of runaway memory
usage.  The two processes (xfs + galeon-bin) quickly soak up all
available ram and swap space.  I have to type in killall galeon-bin
quickly to regain control.

The problem has not occurred with other browsers.  For instance, mozilla
works just fine on the same URLs.

And as I mentioned earlier, I'm using mozilla-1.0.0-4 (the latest RPMs
from the mozilla web site), galeon-1.2.5-1 (again, the latest), and the
XFree86-xfs-4.2.0-8 that ships with Red Hat 7.3.

I've submitted a detailed bug report to the galeon folks...
