Consider an HP Pavilion set up to boot both linux and windows xp, with several partitions. fdisk says that /dev/hda2 has type 7, HPFS/NTFS. mount refuses to mount that partition, saying that the fs type HPFS/NTFS is not supported by the kernel. Does that mean that the kernel must be rebuilt? Can it even be done by rebuilding? Thanks, Arlan Ramsay
