[lug] Creating installation disks?

Hello,

I need to create an installation image and was wondering if people could 
give me a couple of pointers of how to get started.

I have a golden disk-drive that I want to be able to clone quickly.  I 
think that the easiest way would be to build a bootable CD that can 
serve as an installation disk.  I've managed to get a bootable ISO image 
burnt to a CD by following the directions on 
http://www.tldp.org/HOWTO/Bootdisk-HOWTO/index.html .  I've also looked 
at kickstart and have the beginnings of a configuration file.

What do I need to do next?  I would like to push everything into a ISO 
file initially so that I can check it before I start making silver 
coasters.  I think that I will create a giant tar of my golden drive's 
root partition and use kickstart's scripting ability to copy it to a 
partiton that I create on a new drive, but what else will I need to do 
so that for example /boot is installed?
