Did you restart the cron daemon after you changed the time zone?

I have this crontab line '01 23 * * *
/usr/bin/rsync -av --delete --links...'
and it was running at 5:01 PM every day.
I was wondering if my problem here was due to one of these situations:
1. I added the user crontab entry as root using 'crontab -e' without the -u
root
2. I discovered my time zone info was set to UTC and just adjusted to MDT
the
other day but it made no difference (still ran at 5:01 PM). Not sure if UTC
was
current when the crontab was created.
Thinking it might be the time zone crazyness, I modified it to:
'00 23 * * 1-5 /usr/bin/rsync -av...' using 'crontab -u root -e' this time.
I
shall find out this evening... or I guess I could speed the clock up I
suppose.
Any thoughts or similar experience?
Thanks,
