I like XFce for this sort of thing.  For good or for ill it is real SUN
CDEish.  Take a look at http://www.xfce.org/xfce-snap4-large.jpg, but not
as much as it used to be.

I could have sworn it was the official GNU WM, but
http://www.gnu.org/directory/GUI/Other_apps/xfce.html says it is not a GNU
package (if you can get the table to render :-( ).
