[lug] NTFS for windows emulators and an OT comment

VMWare, can read a raw partition and boot it up into an emulated x86 
system.  VMWare is not the most lightweight solution (or cheapest) but 
it would be as close to a guaranteed solution at you'll get.

If your app loads under WINE (many apps do) you can use it as a 
separate install or run it from the NTFS filesystem, but be cautious, 
as Linux has limited (read: dangerous) write support for NTFS.

Other options, based on your needs might be BOCHS or Plex86, but those 
may not be flexible or sufficiently completed to be of use to you.
