[lug] sony monitor

Hi all,

I am hoping that someone on this alias can help me.
I have installed RedHat 8.0, and it seems that linux
cannot recognize a monitor type.  It recognizes a 
video card.  The monitor is Sun (19"), which is
actually Sony - CPD 4410. I didn't see this particular
type on the offered list of monitors, so I tried 
several other cpd types, but still, I was not
able to change or set resolution.
