I've been talking with Chris Riddoch (socket at peakpeak.com) and Jason Strnad
(jstrnad at mac.com) about continuing and improving the Newbie Lessons before
the main BLUG meetings. I've proposed a format, below, and I was hoping we
could all discuss it at / after tonight's meeting. If anyone has any
questions, comments, or suggestions, please e-mail me!

Subject: BLUG Newbie Lessons

 Chris,
Here's my proposed schedule and layout, very similar to the bi-weekly
posting I send to my running club's mailing list. It's been very
successful
there, and I think it will work well here, too. All the dates should be
correct; in addition, I filled in some sample dates with old topics, just
to
 see how it will look.

 Jason,
Would you be willing to sign up to do some of the newbie lessons? Chris
said you might be able to demonstrate how to load Linux on a PC, so newbies
can actually watch it being done.

 Thanks guys!
 John D.

 ===============================================

Here are the Boulder Linux Users' Group discussion topics for upcoming
meetings. Please remember that this schedule, like Linux, is flexible to
meet the needs of the group. IF you want a topic to be discussed, just
ask!
It also needs your help to survive, so please sign up for any open slot!
As
always, you can join some of us for dinner at the Dark Horse restaurant
around 5:30 before going to the meeting. The Dark Horse is located south
of
 Baseline, between 28th and 30th.
