Have you eliminated from consideration any of the components in the
system? Have you tried a different computer? Replaced the ethernet
cable? Can you remove an ethernet switch from the mix (connect to
cable modem directly)? Once you isolate a component, it will be
easier to begin troubleshooting by focusing on the broken piece.
Personally, I'd take a laptop (using a different ethernet cable), and
plug it directly into the cable modem. If it still doesn't work, it's
a Comcast problem, unless you own the cable modem. If it works, start
re-introducing your own components one at a time until it breaks.
