I am trying to get a DLINK DWL-650+ card working on my laptop. It is
running RedHat 7.2, kernel 2.4.18-10. Here are the relevant packages:
kernel-wlan-ng-pcmcia-0.1.15-6
kernel-wlan-ng-0.1.15-6
kernel-wlan-ng-modules-rh73.10-0.1.15-6
kernel-pcmcia-cs-3.1.27-10
I installed the rpm's from the link I followed on the wlan-ng web
site, restarted pcmcia and here's what I get:
Feb 10 19:57:31 localhost cardmgr[1346]: starting, version is 3.1.22
Feb 10 19:57:31 localhost cardmgr[1346]: config error, file './wlan-ng.conf' line 2: no function bindings
Feb 10 19:57:31 localhost cardmgr[1346]: watching 2 sockets

Feb 10 19:57:31 localhost cardmgr[1346]: socket 0: Wireless Network CardBus PC Card
Feb 10 19:57:31 localhost kernel: prism2_cs: GetFirstTuple: No more items
Feb 10 19:57:31 localhost kernel: prism2sta_config: NextTuple failure? It's probably a Vcc mismatch.
Feb 10 19:57:31 localhost kernel: prism2sta_event: prism2_cs: Initialization failed!
Feb 10 19:57:33 localhost cardmgr[1346]: get dev info on socket 0 failed: Resource temporarily unavailable
The first few lines of wlan-ng.conf are:
device "prism2_cs"
class "wlan-ng" module "prism2_cs"
card "Wireless Network CardBus PC Card"
manfid 0x0097, 0x8402
bind "prism2_cs"
As you can see, the card does not get initialised. Can anyone point me in
the right direction?
Thanks a lot,
Rob
