[lug] Property File mode for emacs?

I find myself editing a lot of Java property files (i.e., with the
syntax <property>=<value>).

It would be nice if there were a mode for Emacs that would do syntax
highlighting (similar to that of variable assignment in shell scripting
mode).  A quick google revealed nothing.  Does anyone know of something
like this?
