[lug] pte_offset in a device driver isn't being found

I ran into this on the ATI driver, and noted that the RH 9 kernels have
the 2.5 interface and pte_offset_kernel. Of course, the ATI drivers do
not have a version for XFree 4.3, so all was for nought.
