Sorry for my disregard of etiquette and posting that last message in HTML. Here it is in text. Thanks

Hello,
I've just recently installed redhat 9 on my thinkpad A31. When I close the lid while the machine is on it goes into sleep mode as expected, however when I return to the laptop the display is just garbage. There are some weird horizontal lines along the top that just move about in what seems like a random fashion. At this point I am unable to do anything (including trying to switch to a text console). I'm forced to power the machine off and then back on.
The video card in this machine is an ATI Radeon Mobility 7500, redhat detected the card during install and seemingly setup the drivers in X for it properly. Other than this one problem video seems to work great with no problems (including hardware acceleration).
Any suggestions?
Thanks
-Jason
