Are you talking the real deal 8087?
I have done a 8087, 80287, 80387 (it was a IIT brand, a clone of a 387)

I'd stick with the 486 DX2/66 or higher. Although a 386 with a math
co-processor might work. :-)
(That'll scare someone outta their shorts... who here remembers adding a
math co-processor to your machine? Hands? LOL...)
