I haven't seen Zope used for application development. Most people
seem it as a portal/content management framework, I think.
Application frameworks support the creation of business logic better
than Zope. (Not that many do a very good job at this either imiho,
but at least they try. :-)

[Shameless plug] The next Frameworks-Boulder meeting is on Thu, and
Tom Vilot (vilot.com) will presenting bOP: the bivio OLTP Platform.
A number of government and commercial applications are built on bOP.
We're continually extending it and trying to make it easier to use.
However, bOP is a framework that you need to sink your teeth into, not
nibble at. It comes with a complete example (petshop.bivio.biz), and
its developers are local. :-)
