OK. I've gotten the new version of gphoto2 and the system supporst the
Canon Powershot A70. Here's the catch (at least on my system). I can
only access the camera as root. This is probably a permissions problem,
but I can't find it. Everyone has rw access to the usb bus, I think:
[jeff at silk tts]# ls -alg /dev/ttyS0
lr-xr-xr-x 1 root 5 Sep 1 07:23 /dev/ttyS0 -> tts/0
[jeff at silk tts]# ls -alg /dev/tts/0
crwxrwxrwx 1 tty 4, 64 Oct 9 20:57 /dev/tts/0
[jeff at silk tts]#
I can't seem to find anything else that would be preventing normal users
from access. All other devices seem to work OK (e.g. mouse, scanner
even the flash card reader). Any ideas?
BTW- I like Digikam *much* better! Thanks for the help!!

know when you are going to need them to empty your bedpan.
