Free/Libre and Open Source Software

Eek.  An acronym that sounds like a dentist's office.  Is it meant to
imply something that is supposed to be good for us, but we only take a
look at just before the annual report (or use before the annual cleaning)?

It looks like it was generated by someone who either didn't want to make
the decision whether to talk about open source or free software, or
someone who really wants to stress Stallman free software, but needed to
extend an olive branch to the Eric Raymond open source crowd.

I hope the acronym dies quickly.
