[lug] bad refresh going back to text mode from X on laptop.

I'll have to try downloading Knoppix tonight. Why would that tell me anything though? I've gone throught the autodetect of Mandrake and KRUD, wouldn't it come to the same conclusions? The hardware seems to detect fine. (Although on Mandrake I'm using a default 1400x1050 monitor.)
