[lug] QA Engineer -- Boulder

My client in Boulder, an excellent place to work, is looking for a full time QA Engineer with strong Linux/open source skills.  This person will provide quality assurance testing support to a team of 10 people with the possible assistance of one contractor.  The position is responsible for developing, publishing and implementing test plans; writing and maintaining automated test tools; developing quality assurance standards; and defining and tracking quality assurance metrics. The client is planning to implement an automated testing tool, and this person will need be able to evaluate and identify the best open source testing tool for their needs.

Qualified candidates MUST meet the following requirements:
  a.. 4+ years software QA experience 
  b.. Web application testing experience (absolutely crucial)       
  c..  Ability to develop and enforce QA standards
  d.. Strong test plan development skills
  e.. Experience with designing, building and maintaining automated test solutions on a limited budget
  f.. Ability to make decisions independently and work as part of a team
  g.. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  h.. Ability to assist Client Services in the validation of reported bugs and manage fix cycle
  i.. Ability to work under very tight deadlines
  j.. Bachelor's degree or equivalent
Candidates that have experience with the following are preferred:
  a.. Experience with open source software and testing solutions preferable
  b.. Writing and maintaining test cases and test plans 
  c.. Experience using automated testing tools 
  d.. DB2 and SQL skills 
  e.. Testing in Windows and Linux environments 
  f.. Managing defect database, including production and development defect fix cycles
