Well, i feel your pain! Unfortunately, for me it wouldn't be an update.
I'm working with Linx/PPC (or would that be GNU/Linux/PPC) -- there never
was a version for PPC (or Alpha, my other box). It's highly anoying to
have to start up a MacOnLinux-Session every time i want to read an
acrobat file. While xpdf is good enough for most stuff i occasionally have
to deal with pdfs that contain Type3 fonts et.al.

I've given up on Adobe -- their decisions seem not only to be based on
technical questions. Recall the FrameMaker story?
