[lug] DNS setup question for RedHat 9

For RedHat type 'PEERDNS=NO' into
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-XXX (where XXX is whatever ethernet
interface is sending out the DHCP request, i.e. ifcfg-eth0).

       -R     Prevents dhcpcd from replacing existing /etc/resolv.conf

Try setting that option when you use dhcp in your initialization.
