I just upgraded to FC3 and when I tried to log in as root to try to get my 
modem and sound drivers working, it informed me that root logins are not 
allowed. 

Sometimes I think the people configuring Fedora are as bad as Microsoft when 
it comes to changes configs behind your back...

Considering that their User Admin tool isn't in the Program menu when you log 
in as any user OTHER than root, this change is especially annoying.
