Running the 2005-01 KRUD, 2.6.10-1.741_FC3 kernel. When try to load the
driver module for the winmodem in my laptop,

[root at bast build]# modprobe slamr
FATAL: Error inserting slamr (/lib/modules/2.6.10-1.741_FC3/extra/slamr.ko):
Unk
nown symbol in module, or unknown parameter (see dmesg)

dmesg:
slamr: Unknown symbol get_device
slamr: Unknown symbol put_device
slamr: Unknown symbol device_release_driver

However, the symbols all exist in Modules.symvers and the build for the driver
is picking up the values from Modules.symvers.

The variables also exist in System.map (though with different values than the
ones in Modules.symvers) and depmod -e -F/boot/System.map doesn't seem to
find anything to complain about slamr (or its putting its omplaints somewhere
really obscure...)

Any ideas on why the load is choking? Is there a chance that things would work
better if I build against real source?

Is there a PCMCIA modem available with drivers that actualy work on FC3?
