[lug] fc4 kernel directory

My last install was FC2/KRUD, and until now, the kernels were in 
"/usr/src/linux*". I looks like now they've gone to 
"/usr/src/kernels/*". They used to be in a subdirectory "linux*", with 
some versioning, now they just appear to be in a directory named after 
the version. Some applications will search for things like kernel 
symbols in a specific order, usually including /boot/ and /, but I 
believe the 2.6 stuff would also search in /usr/src/linux-2.6/. Thus 
location does matter in some ways. Is it correct to unpack a stock 
2.6.12 kernel into FC4 directory /usr/src/kernels/linux-2.6.12, then sym 
link this to 2.6.12? Or linux-2.6? I'm just wondering what the new 
convention is going to be, such that things looking for the kernel 
source won't break. Anyone heard anything about this yet?
