I plan to keep them in my notes. Unfortunately though, I'm just using a 
dynamic IP on the Internet, and all access is for myself on a private 
network. On the other hand, I think I might be able to point a few other 
people at this who have static IP's and do svn serving to a limited 
number of developers.

For me it isn't even a public site, getting a "real" cert would just be 
an exercise in how to spend money I don't have (and we all know how easy 
that is...no need for practice!).
