[lug] shutdown question

I haven't been able to generate any warnings, even using the message 
option.  The -k option has been good for trying things out.

-k  Don’t really shutdown; only send the warning messages to everybody

I never get those warning messages though...  BTW, I have Kubuntu 5.10 
installed.
