I've had very good luck with the ralink chipset, both
for PCI cards (Foxconn) and PCMCIA (ASUS, and a
nameless clone). The ASUS PCMCIA card in particular
is solid as a rock. All is working fine with two
D-Link and one Netgear access points running 128-bit
WEP.

The PCI card is on a Debian (Sarge?) distro, the
PCMCIAs are on laptops running SuSE 10.0. Note that
either PCMCIA card did NOT work with SuSE 9.2; SuSE
made giant strides with 10.0. Also, the PCI card did
NOT run with the SMP Debian kernel, only with the
uniprocessor one.

Cheers,

Alberto
