[lug] network drives as backup?

For backup, I use a cast off PC with a WD 250GB HD (new, this size
is not yet showing up in dumpsters). I use NFS. To get a decent xfer
rate, I uses async xfer. I get ~1.4MB/s xfer rate. I don't worry
about hot-plug, removable bay, etc. This is strictly a low cost hack.
The HD cost $100 for WD Store. I'll buy more as I need them.
