Can anyone recommend an 802.11g laptop NIC which works "out of the
box" on recent kernels? (using kernel 2.6.17 on Fedora Core 5).

Yes, I've scanned the available docs, but I'm finding it hard to find
a NIC which is mentioned by brand make and model AND which actually
works (example: Linksys with Broadcom chipset could scan wireless
networks, but locked up laptop when trying to connect).
