Yeah, I figured there must be cases like that. Good to know them.
If your boot filesystem is corrupted wouldn't it be dangerous to boot
anything on it? I would want to use a boot CD if at all possible in that
situation. I haven't encountered the RAID situation because I don't put my
root directory in RAID but it would be nice.
